Having finally some free time with your kids is invaluable. But, it is still necessary to keep them entertained and active.

Try to find out the best option for your kids on our list:

1. THE ELAPHITES
The excursion we described in our Boats excursion section is really a fantastic way to combine bathing, jumping, cave diving, octopus hunt, cliffs and rocks exploration. Let your kids play, shout and enjoy their freedom at sea.

2. HORSE RIDING
Kojan Koral Horse Club form Konavle offers recreational riding for  teenagers 16+. Smaller kids can visit a rural household on Bosanka "Honey Valley" and ride horses here.

3. WATER ACTIVITIES
Right beneath Orašac you will find Dubrovnik Sun Gardens resort, where you can book various water activities including sea-kayaking, scuba diving, waterskiing, jet ski and banana rides.

4. DUBROVNIK AQUARIUM
When you head to the Old Town, you can visit the Aquarium situated in the City Walls.

5. LOKRUM
The favorite family destination of local Dubrovnik residents is the island of Lokrum. More details here.
PS The island is full of cutest bunnies who like to be fed with carrots!

6. KAYAKING
Kayaking is very popular in the area. There are tours that go around the City Walls (for adults and older kids). Closer in Orašac there is a kayaking club in Zaton, very easy to reach and book.

7. VISIT CAVES
There is a cave you can visit original in its beauty and location just under the Airport runway - Đurovića Cave. It has become one of the most surprising attractions in the area recently.
Besides this one, there is a cave close to Orašac, in the village of Gromača. It is not commercialized but it is visited since it is one of the longest speleological phenomena in Croatia.
