Your options for sea bathing when staying in Orašac
You can get to three beaches within a couple of minutes
ORAŠAC BEACH "POD ORAŠCEM"
This is the locals' favorite beach. Accessible by a curvy downward road, with parking (in peak summer can be limited). It takes around 2 to 3 minutes to arrive by car, and around 10 to 15 minutes moderate walk from Villa La Vagabonda. When coming back, the walk can be around 20 minutes since it is uphill.
The beach is well maintained and has all amenities: toilet, shower, changing cabins, garbage disposal.
There is an addition to this beach, called Crvene stijene (Red Rocks), but this area is accessible only on your own responsibility because of unstable terrain. Therefore, we cannot recommend it even though it looks amazing.
The big advantage of this location is the fact that there is a restaurant and bar open from June to September called "Hawaii Restaurant". The restaurant serves grill and pizzas. The sitting on its roof terrace provides a wonderful view of sea and the islands.The restaurant does deliveries to our property as well. This beach is also very often a departing point for local excursions.
POTOK BEACH & RADISSON HOTEL BEACH
There are two beaches very easily accessible from the Radisson Resort located right beneath Orašac. Parking is available on site.
The first beach is a natural pebble beach called Potok and is accessible by steep stairs that bring you down to it. This beach has no special amenities, nor services. However, it is calm, clean and nice.
The second is the Radisson's hotel beach that you can visit as well. It is well maintained with small pebbles. However, not too wide, and in some hours it might be crowded.

Other beaches to discover in the area
Besides the beaches near by, there are options worth exploring little further. Let us name a few:
1. Šunj Beach - a legendary sandy beach located on the Island of Lopud, just across Orašac. Transfers are easy to arrange.
2. Veliki Žali Beach - a pebble beach, 15 minute drive from Orašac in the direction of Slano. Easy accessible with beach bar. There is no shade however, just to have in mind.
3. Prapratno Beach - a sandy beach, one of the top bathing locations in the region. It is a 30-40 minute drive from Orašac, located in the peninsula of Pelješac. A good starting point of spending an exploring day in this area of wine, seafood and intact nature.
4. Dubrovnik St. Jacob's Beach - a sandy beach located in the City. A great chill-out spot when visiting Dubrovnik.
